Krotz Springs applies for demolition grant; veteran benches received and road repairs planned

At the Feb. 11 meeting Mayor Carroll B. Snyder reported that Aucoin and Associates is applying for a demolition grant on behalf of the town and noted the town already has 15 properties on its demolition list. The mayor provided no further funding source details or grant amounts.
Mayor Snyder said Harvey Leblanc has received benches for the Veteran's Memorial and they are ready to be installed. The mayor also said he contacted Echo about damaged blacktop and missing reflectors in town; Echo will send a contractor to make repairs.
Announcements included a Second Harvest food distribution scheduled for Feb. 18–19 and the Mayor's Meeting set for Feb. 24 in Cankton. No public comment was recorded during the meeting.
