Superintendent reports steady progress on renovations, outlines summer programs and recognizes trustee achievement

On programming, Dr. Turnell said the extended school year began July 1 and runs through Aug. 11. The district's four-week summer academic program is operating at Bayville Primary, supervised by Bill Calandra; a summer recreation program under Marie Fonzo has about 55 campers registered. The high school credit recovery program and driver's education begin July 7, with the driver's education program reporting just over 30 registrants.
