The Chaffee City Council handled routine administrative business Oct. 21, approving the minutes of the previous meeting, several building permits, the October judges report and monthly bills.
City Clerk Barbara K. Doan read the minutes. Danny Finley moved to approve the minutes and Andy Sadler seconded; the council recorded that all present voted in favor. Building permits approved included a new house for Brad Urhahn at 409 Black St. and a fence for Tony Enderle/Kids Academy at 129 Gray St.; Steve Milz moved the measure and Danny Finley seconded, with a unanimous vote.
City Administrator Lee Horton also reported that Smoking Brothers may move offices to their Chaffee location and requested that the city move the water service and meter to the front of the building and remove the sidewalk to create a driveway; council discussion was recorded but no formal action was taken on the request in the minutes. Horton also presented the completed annual audit for council review; the minutes record discussion but not a formal vote on the audit during this meeting.
The meeting adjourned following these items.
