Warren Hills students to host robotics competition; board affirms HIB decisions and approves field trips

Student Representative Louden Heller reported that spring athletics began March 10 and that the WH Robotics team will host a robotics competition this Friday through Sunday. The agenda listed WH Robotics Team 219 with presenter Scott Mosher.
On policy items the board affirmed administrative determinations on HIB cases for the middle school (2024-2025 cases 004, 005, 006) and approved multiple field-trip requests under Policy 2340. Approved trips include a Computer Science visit to Google NYC for computer classes, Career Awareness Day at County College of Morris, and several FFA competitions and summits for students in relevant programs. Corey Piasecki moved the Education & Policy motions; Lisa Marshall seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The board noted that the proposed 2025-26 school calendar will be shared with the Education & Policy Committee and will appear on the April 8 agenda for formal approval. The NJDOE 2023-24 school performance reports were noted as embargoed and scheduled for public release on April 2, at which point the administration will share them with Education & Policy.
