At its June 1 meeting, the Ad Hoc Citizens Liaison Council agreed to mail welcome packets to new residents and to distribute a Chester resources flyer at the Chester Sunday Market. Council member Caryl Horner will collect informational material from the estuary to include in the packets.
Council member Adrienne Eckman created the resources flyer and the council suggested adding a back page listing local soup kitchens, community meals and directory information to provide more comprehensive support referrals. Members asked that town staff (identified in the minutes as Cindy) be consulted to determine the town’s preferred method for residents to contact the council for specific support needs.
Susan Wright agreed to bring a sign to use at the market table. The council did not take a formal vote on the outreach materials but set distribution plans and will follow up with town staff about contact procedures prior to broad distribution.
