Warren Hills board reviews district goals, ethics training and student activities

At its Feb. 25 meeting the Warren Hills Regional Board of Education received ethics training from Board Attorney Marc Zitomer and heard a superintendent report outlining district priorities and upcoming student activities.
Marc Zitomer provided the board of education ethics training during the meeting as the board reviewed governance responsibilities. Superintendent Earl C. Clymer III reminded staff to complete the School Ethics Financial Disclosure statement; he reported that 24 bilingual students are slated to be recognized for bilingual certification at graduation and that the district is awaiting contractor timeframes for summer 2025 projects that could affect the 2025–26 calendar.
Clymer also noted upcoming events and student activities: the WCSBA Unsung Heroes event scheduled for March 12 at Warren Hills Regional High School, and the robotics competition on March 22–23. Student Representative Louden Heller reported February was a slow month, noted Cabaret night on Feb. 26, and offered to facilitate more student club presentations to the board.
Committee chairs reported no meetings and no substantive committee business for Finance, Facilities & Transportation; Education, Policy & Technology; Personnel & Student Activities; or Negotiations. The board reviewed public-comment procedures under Bylaw 0167 and recorded no public comments during the meeting.
The board's discussion focused on implementation-level items — ensuring required ethics filings are completed, proceeding with planned student events, and awaiting contractor scheduling that will inform the summer-project timeline and the 2025–26 calendar.
