Shyer also moved to approve application #2025-0280 (Richard and Linda Cantele), a special permit allowing accessory structures less than 50 feet from a waterbody and a minor modification to an approved site plan in the Lake Protection Overlay District at 204 Between the Lakes Road. That hearing opened at 6:56 p.m., concluded with no public comment, and the permit was approved 5-0-0.
The Commission approved application #2025-0286, a site-plan modification for 343 Main Street (343 MS Restoration LLC / William Colgan) affecting the parking area tied to Special Permit #2023-0209. The motion to approve passed 5-0-0 with one explicit condition: the easement with 12 Porter Street must be filed in the Office of the Town Clerk before the approval is implemented.
Commissioners also moved to schedule a public hearing on application #2025-0284 (William and Stephanie Colaric, 67 Old CNE Road) — a special permit for a structure less than 50 feet from a waterbody and related site development in the Lake Protection Overlay District — for June 2, 2025 at 6:45 p.m. via Zoom. The meeting adjourned at 8:01 p.m.
Why it matters: The approvals clear the way for a residential expansion, waterfront accessory work, and downtown site adjustments that require follow-up filings (notably the required easement).
