The City of Edgewater's Development Services staff used the March 12 Planning & Zoning Board meeting to announce a senior planner opening and to remind residents about two upcoming comprehensive-plan workshops.
Staff said the city still has open recruitments for a city engineer and a city manager and encouraged interested applicants to apply. Staff also reminded attendees that the next comprehensive-plan workshops will be held next Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon; the sessions will cover the coastal management element, parks and recreation and the open-space conservation element and are intended to gather public input for the plan that will guide city growth through 2060.
Staff indicated the workshops will be publicized (flyers in utility bills and calendar postings on the city web page) and invited broader participation to build a consensus for the city’s vision.
