Ordinance 51‑72‑26 updates the city’s public art program by reorganizing public‑art provisions into a new Chapter 43 (Public Art) and amending related code sections for monuments and murals. Cibele Contel, director of arts, culture and community building, reported there were no changes since the first reading; the commission approved the ordinance unanimously.
Ordinance 51‑73‑26 is a city‑initiated text amendment to Chapter 94 to clarify provisions in the Broadway Mixed Use District regarding townhome development and to modify height‑bonus incentive requirements in the Curry Mixed Use District tied to park improvements. Development Services Director Santa Maria Abonta reported no changes since the first reading. The commission approved the zoning text amendment unanimously.
Both ordinances were read into the record by the clerk and carried without opposition.
