Ivins's parks and recreation staff outlined a week of Heritage Days activities beginning Saturday, Sept. 6 and continuing through the following Saturday.
Parks director Mark told the council the schedule includes a free storytelling event called Coyote Tales at 7 a.m. Saturday at the park, a digital scavenger hunt launching Sunday with roughly 70 challenges, a family swim night on Monday, a youth street hockey clinic Tuesday, a mini pageant on Wednesday, two service projects on Thursday (including cemetery plantings) and a community car show, movie and concert on Friday. The week will conclude with a morning parade, vendor booths and contests Saturday and an evening drone show sponsored by Black Desert.
Mark said flyers and a full schedule are available on the city website and encouraged residents to take part. Council members discussed volunteer roles for the council at events (grill teams and parade logistics) and noted practical details such as food‑handler cards for those who will cook on site.
Council praised staff for the program and encouraged broad participation across the community.
