A motion carried to have staff work with state partners to recover and dispose of the boat and to use up to $2,500 from the contingency (GC) fund to cover removal costs; the motion also included a landfill-fee waiver for disposal if required. The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
What happens next: County staff will identify the owner where possible, pursue state assistance and, if necessary, contract locally to raise and dispose of the vessel using the authorized contingency funds.
