Glendora Unified staff reports all local indicators as 'MET'; board approves LCAP item and budget

Dr. Sarah Najjaro presented the district’s California Dashboard local indicators self-reflection for 2024–25 and reported that the district met the local indicators overall.
"We have met all of our local indicators," Najjaro said, explaining that the local indicators are a combination of the self-reflection tool and quantitative "gas gauge" data reported on the state dashboard. She described the indicators as covering conditions of learning, implementation of state academic standards, parent and family engagement, school climate and access to a broad course of study.
Najjaro noted some nuance in the results: Priority 1 (basic services) was marked MET overall though there was an instance of one class taught without a full credential this year and a small increase in intern credentials; Priority 2 (standards implementation) included mostly 3s and 4s with room to grow in professional development for ELD and math; Priority 3 (parent and family engagement) averaged 3.5 and was recorded as MET. She said the district has preliminary state testing results in English language arts, math and science but does not yet have fully compiled chronic absenteeism or all state-delivered statistics.
When board members questioned whether the slide shown was current, Najjaro clarified that the slide reflected last year’s posted dashboard and that the district’s self-reflection results are what the board heard tonight. She said the full dashboard "gas gauges" and the statewide-compiled data will not appear until the third week of November, and that compiled files from ETS/state sources remain pending. Najjaro also said individual student results are visible to parents but that compiled district statistics await final releases.
Following the presentation, the board moved to approve item 5.1 (the LCAP-related materials presented) and then item 5.2 (the district budget). Both motions were seconded and the board voted in favor with no recorded opposition; the minutes show the items passed unanimously.
The board did not take further public action on the underlying assessment releases; Najjaro said the district will upload the local-indicator results to the dashboard as part of the normal reporting timeline once state components are available.
