The Glendora Unified School District Board of Education announced in closed session that applicant number 2025_0626_102720 will become the next principal of Glendora High School, effective July 1, 2025. President Clifford read the closed-session action and noted the board’s motion passed with five yes votes.
The board’s appointment was made "with a motion by Trustee Garcia, seconded by Trustee Munoz, and a vote of 5 yeses," President Clifford said during the reconvened meeting. The appointment was described as tentatively placed on step 2 of the certificated management salary schedule.
Trustee Garcia thanked the executive team and the interview panels for handling the principal selection "with the seriousness that it is required," and said she is "excited and looking forward to this new leadership" at Glendora High School. Trustee Munoz and another board member also expressed appreciation for the district’s process and diligence in selecting the new principal.
There were no public comments recorded regarding the appointment during the public-comment period. The board did not discuss alternate candidates or salary details beyond the tentative salary-step placement.
The appointment takes effect July 1, 2025; the board did not announce additional implementation steps at the meeting.
