He framed the request as a legislative item because he said current Virginia code limits the county's ability to address certain electricity‑supply issues at the local level. "We, Virginia, are the largest importer of electric energy in The United States now," the chair said while arguing the EDA should add an energy‑policy request to the agenda.
Members discussed other draft items (including potential transfers of property and a proposed federal resolution) and clarified that the revised packet will go to Mr. Drumwright and the county administrator.
