Cape May County Bridge Commission reappoints leadership, approves consent agenda

The motion to approve the minutes of the April 16, 2026 regular meeting was made by Maryanne K. Murphy and seconded by Scott Halliday and carried unanimously. A subsequent motion to pay the bills, also moved by Murphy and seconded by Halliday, was approved without opposition.
The commission then opened and closed public comment on the consent agenda and approved Resolutions 26-3849 through 26-3856. Resolution 26-3849 reappointed Carol Brand as Chairman, Scott Halliday as Vice Chairman and Mary K. Murphy as Secretary/Treasurer, each for one-year terms. Resolution 26-3851 certified monthly deposits for March 2026 in the amount of $197,372.57. Other approved measures set a ceiling for interim payments of health benefits and payroll expenses, adopted a one-year cash management plan, designated official newspapers for legal advertisements, established mileage and per diem rates, and set annual salaries for various employees.
No public comments were recorded during the meeting. Executive Director Kevin Lare read the revenue report for April and submitted the minutes at the close of the session.
The commission’s actions were procedural and administrative; there were no contested votes recorded. The meeting record shows all roll-call votes on the motions were unanimous.
