Lisle board approves consent items, special-event permits and minor PUD change for Brewster's Ice Cream

The Village of Lisle Board on Feb. 24 approved routine consent items that included an invoice list of $536,128.48, recognition of the January treasurer's report and several special-event permits, then unanimously approved an ordinance authorizing a minor PUD change at 2745 Maple Avenue to allow a Brewster's Ice Cream location.
Village Manager Cook reviewed the consent package and recommended approval of items a through f, which also included a minor PUD amendment for the Northern Business Campus and permits for the DuPage March for Babies, a superhero 3K and the Veil Waggertrot 5K. "Staff recommends village board approval of items a through f as presented," Cook said.
Deputy Clerk Arnold recorded a unanimous roll-call vote approving the consent agenda. Director Smetana described the Green Trails commercial PUD change that will allow Brewster's Ice Cream to convert and enclose a bank drive-through area. Trustee Olson called the change a useful adaptive reuse and supported approval.
All present trustees voted 'aye' on the ordinance to amend the Green Trails Commercial 3 PUD at 2745 Maple Avenue. Mayor Mullin also announced open items and staff reports including that the clerk application is open, staff conducts annual fund audits, and that a rate-study consultant may recommend future water and sewer rate adjustments to address long-term capital needs.
Manager Cook additionally told residents the village is monitoring an Illinois American Water rate filing and that MC Squared will serve as the village's electric aggregation supplier through October 2027 with no enrollment or early termination fees and pricing in line with ComEd.
