Richmond authorizes up to $19,900 change order for Southview Pool shelter painting

Richmond — The City Council on April 8 approved a change order to McCool's Painting for maintenance at the Southview Pool shelter, authorizing work not to exceed $19,900.
McCool's Painting proposed $16,900 for epoxy painting of ceilings, trusses and walls, plus a $3,000 contingency for floor etching and epoxy application. Staff said the project was not included in the current budget but sufficient funds exist in the Park Fund and that a budget amendment will be submitted to account for the expenditure. The Park Board recommended the change order to the council.
Councilor Deanna Guy moved approval and Councilor Rob Brash seconded; the motion passed 5‑0. The city will proceed with the change order and process the required budget amendment.
