Richmond — The City Council on April 8 approved a spring fertilizer and spot weed‑control treatment for Richmond Memory Gardens by Pistol's Lawn Care LLC at a price not to exceed $2,800.
Staff told the council Pistol's Lawn Care is the cemetery mowing contractor and is now licensed to apply fertilizer and weed control. The memo noted that Noble Lawn Care provided a one‑time treatment in October 2024 at a cost of $3,582 (that work was not under contract). Staff recommended a budget line‑item transfer to fund the spring treatment and said it will include full annual treatment costs in the FY26 budget planning process.
Councilor Barb Hardwick moved approval and Councilor Rob Kinnard seconded; the motion passed on a 5‑0 roll call. The action authorizes staff to proceed with the spring application and to adjust budget lines as recommended.
