Altenburg District #48 board approves October bills; audits and policy updates noted

On policy matters, Cary Roth moved and Brittany Hecht seconded a motion to adopt a set of policies and regulations listed in the minutes as adapted from “MCE,” including Policy 1210 and Regulation 1210, Policy 2220, Regulation 2310, Policy 2340 (and deletion of Regulation 2340), Policy 3470 and Regulation 2785, Policy 4130 and Regulation 4221, Policy 4505 and Regulation 4515, Policy 4506 and Form 4831 (listed as Regulation 4831 converted to Form 4831), Policy 4515 and Regulation 6190, Policy 4560 and Regulation 6191, Policy 4831, Policy 5550, Policy 6121 and Policy 6191. Haertling also announced that staff evaluations will begin this month and that parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for Oct. 23 and Oct. 24. She presented upcoming APS events and reported she had mailed neighbors about concerns involving cats; she said there have been no further issues. The minutes note that the City of Altenburg will order No Parking signs for the school in response to neighborhood complaints.
The board approved adding Tasha Meyer to the substitute list pending fingerprinting; the motion passed 7-0. The superintendent presented a bid from Blue Chalk for services for the school year; the board tabled that bid while it considers other proposals. The board adjourned after routine business; Brittany Hecht moved and Cary Roth seconded the motion, which passed 7-0.
