The Carlisle Board of Health on May 27 approved an application to repair a failed septic system at 31 Aaron Way by accepting a deed restriction limiting the property to four bedrooms and approving a proposed pressure-distribution system instead of a distribution box.
Rob Frado reported that the site is extremely constrained — with extensive landscaping, a koi pond, a pool and ledge outcroppings — and lacks sufficient soil depth for a conventional five‑bedroom septic. Frado and the applicant said they would continue efforts to locate a deep drainage pipe on the site. Given the limitations, the applicant proposed a deed restriction limiting occupancy to four bedrooms and a pressure-distribution system to meet code where a conventional five‑bedroom system cannot be accommodated.
David Erickson moved to approve the deed restriction and the proposed septic plan; Will Proctor seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The minutes record no outstanding conditions beyond the deed restriction and the construction of the approved system.
