Combs Subdivision final plat: Jared Lassiter presented the Combs Subdivision final plat, describing it as a minor subdivision in the northeast part of the county along Hawkeye Creek that splits a 0.25‑acre parcel to be conveyed to an adjoining owner. He said the resolution includes a condition waiving the county's minimum lot size requirement of 40,000 square feet (0.92 acres) for that specific, unbuildable lot. The board moved, seconded and approved the resolution.
Official posting place: Reading an adopted resolution, the board designated "the bulletin board located in the courthouse entryway at 513 North Main Street, Jermanton, Iowa" and the county website as official posting places for Des Moines County legal notices, citing Iowa Code section 21.4.
Other routine actions: The board also approved a fireworks permit for 34 Raceway for July 9, 2026, approved an amended appointment letter for the correctional center to correct minor rate errors, and approved minutes of the June 30, 2026 meeting.
