Lake Como council highlights summer events, farmers market and Lake Como Day

Councilwoman Heather Albala-Doyle told the Sept. 2 meeting that the rescheduled Guns for Hire concert was a success, the 'Wednesday of the Water' is Sept. 17, the Wednesday Farmers Market runs through Sept. 24, and vendor spots remain open for Lake Como Day on Sept. 20.
Councilwoman Heather Albala-Doyle reported at the Sept. 2 Borough of Lake Como meeting that the rescheduled Guns for Hire concert at the lake drew a successful turnout and several community events will continue into September.
Albala-Doyle said the next "Wednesday of the Water" is scheduled for Sept. 17, and the Wednesday Farmers Market will operate through Sept. 24. She also said a few vendor spots remain available for Lake Como Day on Sept. 20.
Mayor Higgins thanked the Department of Public Works, the police and first responders and borough office staff for their work over a busy summer and reminded residents that seasonal one-way roads revert to two-way traffic on Sept. 12.
The council did not receive any public comments during the meeting. The council's next regular meeting is scheduled for Sept. 16, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. in the Lake Como Meeting Room.
