Residents press council to address standing stormwater on West Bow Street

Residents Steve Cole and J.J. Nelson told the Town Council at its Aug. 5 meeting that stormwater stands on their properties on West Bow Street and that prior approaches to the council had not produced a solution. The council acknowledged the complaint; Council Vice President Dave Williams said he would ask the utility crew to check the issue and Max Allen said he would discuss it with Utility Superintendent Gary Moody. BFS Engineering recommended conducting a camera inspection or a smoke test to help locate the source of standing water in the stormwater system.
No formal motion to fund repairs was made at the meeting; officials recorded that staff and consultants would investigate and report back. Residents pressing for immediate repairs were told the utility crew and consultants would examine the problem and determine next steps.
