Thorntown council adopts sewer and water capacity fee ordinances

With the hearings closed, Council member Bruce Burtner moved to adopt Ordinance 2024-7 (sewer capacity fees); the motion was seconded and passed 3-0. Bruce Burtner then moved to adopt Ordinance 2024-8 (water capacity fees) at the subsequent hearing; the motion passed 3-0.
The ordinances were presented as second readings and the council recorded no further public comment on the water-capacity item. The council did not specify dollar amounts or the administrative schedule for implementing the new capacity fees in the meeting record.
