Several commissioners acknowledged the potential benefits but expressed concern about the cost. "A $174,000 is a lot of money per year," one commissioner said, asking staff to compare services and pricing with neighboring counties and to clarify return‑on‑investment possibilities.
The commission did not vote. Members asked for time to review the proposal, to receive comparisons with other counties and to identify an appropriate funding source before placing any contract on a future agenda.
