The Rolla Planning and Zoning Commission voted on Feb. 11 to recommend that City Council approve VAC25‑01, the vacation of the remainder of an alley north of 11th Street between Bishop Avenue and State Street. The motion passed by roll call with Ayes: Nathan Chirban, Kevin Crider, Steve Davis and Monte Shields; Nays: None; three commissioners were absent.
City Planner Tom Coots presented the staff report and the commission discussed an existing sewer line in the alley right‑of‑way. Chairperson Russell Schmidt opened the public hearing at 5:48 p.m.; no members of the public spoke and the hearing closed at 5:54 p.m. Commissioner Kevin Crider moved to recommend approval and Monte Shields seconded. The commission instructed staff to forward its recommendation to City Council for final action.
The meeting minutes record no conditions or citizen objections to the alley vacation; the commission adjourned at 5:55 p.m.
