The Shrewsbury Park Board recommended forming a separate seven-person research committee to study options for an aquatic center. The committee would serve a one- to two-year term to visit area pools, research equipment and gather information to inform future planning.
Board materials note that survey results from a November public forum have been posted online. The board said it will send a public request in mid-March asking interested citizens to submit an email of interest; the Parks Board will review applicants at its next meeting.
No formal vote or selection of committee members was recorded at the Feb. 26 meeting. The board did not specify membership criteria, budget for committee work, or an exact start date beyond the mid-March solicitation.
