Smithville board approves two plats and a turbidity-meter purchase; all votes 6-0

The Smithville Board of Aldermen approved three items during its Dec. 2 regular session.
Bill No. 3089-25: Alderman Marv Atkins moved and Alderman Dan Hartman seconded approval of the final plat for Richardson Street Plaza in the City of Smithville, Missouri. The measure was read for second reading by title only, and the roll-call vote was six in favor, none opposed. Mayor Boley declared Bill No. 3089-25 approved.
Bill No. 3090-25: Alderman Atkins moved and Alderman Hartman seconded approval of Bill No. 3090-25, changing zoning classifications and approving the Umholtz Homestead plat. The second reading was by title only; there was no discussion. The roll-call vote was six in favor, none opposed, and Mayor Boley declared the bill approved.
Resolution 1531: Alderman Atkins moved and Alderman Hartman seconded Resolution 1531 to approve the quote from HACH for turbidity meters for the Water Treatment Plant. There was no discussion and the motion carried 6-0.
No amendments or dissent were recorded during these items. The consent agenda earlier in the meeting also passed unanimously and included Resolution 1530, authorizing an agreement with Piper Sandler and Company for city financial services.
The board did not request further discussion on these matters during the meeting; staff will proceed with implementation steps for approved plats and procurement according to city procedures.
