Springfield Township SD board approves curriculum contract, service agreements and personnel items

The motion listed a total approved cost of $70,528.46 for the materials and coaching. Katie Davenport, reporting for the academic affairs committee, said the committee supported publicly posting the course overview and the purchase recommendation.
The board also approved a service agreement with the Lincoln Center for Family and Youth for the 2025-26 school year to provide student services. In addition, members acknowledged a transition of the district's education solicitor from Fox Rothschild LLP to the education group of McNeese, Wallace and Nurick, LLC, effective April 1, 2026, and authorized administrators to execute necessary documents.
On technology, the board approved a five-year website content management agreement with Active Internet Technologies, doing business as Final Site, to take effect July 1, 2026, with a one-time setup cost of $4,500 and an annual fee of $13,500.
Personnel actions were approved by voice vote as presented in the personnel attachment (2026317). The superintendent recommended promoting middle-school teacher Ian Hammond to join the administrative team this summer as an assistant principal; the personnel package including that recommendation passed as part of the personnel motion.
The board also approved routine governance items by voice vote, including minutes from the Feb. 17 meeting and the February 2026 treasurer's report.
All votes recorded on the public transcript were taken by voice vote; no roll-call tallies were read into the meeting record during the meeting.
What happens next: The contracts move forward under the terms approved by the board; administrators were authorized to complete required documents for the solicitor transition and vendor agreements.
