The agenda also listed more than a half-dozen mowing and landscape maintenance contract awards for Public Works.
Councilor Robinson made the motion to approve the consent agenda, seconded by Council member Jones; the motion passed unanimously (recorded as 5-0).
Councilor Jones asked staff to prepare a future report on renaturalization or urban-meadow alternatives for some vacant-lot mowing contracts to reduce environmental and taxpayer costs. That comment was entered as a request for information rather than a modification to the contracts approved that night.
The consent vote included grants and professional-services contract awards; details and contract numbers were read into the record and are included in the city's posted agenda and packet.
