The board also authorized submission of a Special Education Medicaid Initiative (SEMI) waiver for the 2026–27 school year and set Extended School Year (ESY) dates for July 6–30, 2026.
The finance motion, presented by Business Administrator Michele Rainere, covered general, grants, food-service and aftercare funds totaling $445,101.94. The board approved vendor and program items including Teach Your Monster (software for K–2), multiple out‑of‑district vendor approvals and required evaluations (a neurological evaluation at $850 and a physical‑therapy evaluation at $325).
On special‑education administration, the board accepted termination of several out‑of‑district placements (Sage Alliance and Windsor Preparatory High School) and amended a prior home‑instruction authorization. The board approved the donation of eight Dell monitors from A.T. Kearney and granted facility use requests for PTO and community events, including the Seussical JR. musical.
Personnel actions approved included several salary crossovers for certificated staff, estimated maternity leaves (dates and contingencies specified in the personnel resolutions), and acceptance of the resignation/retirement of teacher Santo Calabro effective June 30, 2026.

The board recorded roll calls for each block of resolutions; motions carried on the affirmative vote of the board at the meeting.
The administration noted the district is preparing next year’s budget and a QSAC review in March that will focus on test‑score performance; no final decisions were made on the district’s high‑school send/receive arrangements during the meeting.
What’s next: The board scheduled a special meeting March 9 to adopt the tentative 2026–27 budget and will meet again March 24.
