Rochelle Park board approves payrolls, bills and several contracts including $23,184 tuition contract with Hackensack

At its Jan. 27 meeting the Rochelle Park Board of Education approved routine finance and contract items, including payroll authorizations for November, December and January and payment of bills for two periods totaling $926,587.03.

The board approved payrolls: November 2025 — $693,873.00; December 2025 — $722,273.71; January 2026 — $708,908.71. It approved payment of bills for Jan. 1–15 totaling $41,540.61 and Jan. 16–27 totaling $885,046.42.

In other finance actions, the board authorized participation in the New Jersey Cooperative Purchasing Alliance under N.J.S.A. 40A:11‑11(5), approved vendor listings (including Geyer Instructional Products and Delta T), and set the integrated preschool tuition rate for 2026–27 at $6,865.

Grant and contract highlights: the board approved submission and accepted a $10,000 Farm to School Scholarship grant for kitchen equipment (National School Lunch Program). The board also approved a receiving‑district tuition contract with the Hackensack Board of Education for CST #2602 for Feb. 2–June 24, 2026, totaling $23,184 for the 2025–26 school year. The board approved an amended contract with Strategic Exemplary Alliance (SEA) LLC to conduct a superintendent search for $11,000 effective Jan. 27, 2026.

Why it matters: these votes authorize near‑term payments, operating partnerships and a vendor and search contract that will affect district procurement and staffing.
