Merrimac Conservation Commission continues hearing, introduces new agent and discusses administrative permit

The Merrimac Conservation Commission on July 24 voted unanimously to continue the Notice of Intent public hearing for 103R River Road (applicant George Lay) to the commission's August 28 meeting. Vice Chair Greg Hochmuth moved to continue the hearing; Bill Andrulitis seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Mr. Hochmuth also volunteered to draft a letter requesting erosion control measures and an update on the status of the application for 25 River Road. Chair Jerome Mathieu introduced Jay Smith as the commission's new Agent and said he will submit a request to the Select Board to consider Mr. Mark Legere for the vacant Alternate Member position. Applicant James Paull asked for clarification on the status of his 9 Little Pond Road application and requested placement on the August agenda.
The commission discussed a proposal by Mr. Hochmuth to create a simple administrative permit application and considered possible bylaw changes; Hochmuth said he will present the idea to the Select Board. Approval of the minutes was tabled until the next meeting. Greg MacLean moved to adjourn at 8:00 p.m.; Greg Hochmuth seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
