After moving into executive session on Nov. 6, the Woodland Park Board of Education returned to public session and affirmed the superintendent’s determinations in multiple harassment, intimidation and bullying (HIB) investigations.
The board voted 6–0 to affirm the superintendent’s decisions in HIB Investigation numbers 2024‑03, 2024‑04, 2024‑05, 2024‑06, 2024‑07, 2024‑09, 2024‑15, 2024‑16, 2024‑17, 2024‑18 and 2024‑19. The affirmation followed a closed hearing. Board minutes record that a parent met with the board in executive session for an HIB hearing.
The minutes also note that Dr. Pillari discussed additional HIB cases (2024‑21, 2024‑25, 2024‑26 and 2024‑27) during the executive session; details of those discussions were recorded in the closed minutes. The public action after the closed session was a formal roll-call affirmation of the superintendent’s listed decisions.
The board’s public motion referenced the superintendent’s written decisions and indicated the reasons were provided to the students’ parents. The board did not discuss the substance of individual cases in open session, consistent with confidentiality rules regarding student discipline.
