The Colstrip Public Schools board approved a series of personnel actions and accepted the district audit for the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2025.
A motion to approve Christine Monet as a district substitute for the 2025–26 school year was moved and seconded and passed by voice vote.
Trustees approved the superintendent's recommendation to nonrenew the employment of Siju Varghese, a non-tenure teacher, citing personnel procedures; the recommendation was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
The board also approved rehire recommendations for non-tenure K–12 certified staff and for tenured certified staff for the 2026–27 school year "as presented." Trustees moved and seconded both motions and recorded affirmative voice votes. A motion to rehire nonaffiliated staff for 2026–27 was likewise approved.
An audit report presented to the board showed no findings for the fiscal year ending 06/30/2025. The board voted to approve the audit conducted by Paul Strom and Associates.
The meeting minutes list trustees and roll-call responses during votes (several trustees saying "Aye"). Where recorded, votes were by voice and individual tallies were not provided in the transcript.
