The planning committee of the Akron City Council approved the minutes of its previous meeting and referred two conditional-use ordinances to public hearings during a brief session, the committee chair said.
The committee first approved the minutes after the chair moved to accept them and the clerk seconded the motion. The chair then declared, “The ayes have it,” closing that item.
The clerk read two ordinances. The first ordinance would authorize a conditional use to expand parking at 839 South Arlington Street and 1037 Wylie Avenue and includes an emergency clause. The chair instructed the committee to “Refer and advertise for public hearing.” The clerk then read a second ordinance authorizing a conditional use to establish a tire sales business at 21 North Arlington Street; the chair again moved to “Refer and advertise for a public hearing.”
No questions or discussion were recorded on either item during the committee session. With no further business the chair adjourned the meeting.
The clerk announced that the next committee meeting will be the parks and recreation committee at 1:45, listing members Connor, Lombardo, Davis, Hannah and Boyes.
