Mayor Whiteside certified the April 8 election results and the board voted to accept the certification at the May 13 meeting.
City Administrator Clark asked for the motion to certify the election; Alderman Houchen moved and Alderman Motzahn seconded. The motion passed with Aldermen Houchen, Kendrick, Motzahn and Saltee voting yes. The newly elected officials — including Dytan Eppert as mayor and Alderman Lough — were sworn in by City Clerk Kristen Morrow.
After the swearing-in, Mayor Eppert took the chair. Mayor Eppert appointed Alderman Lough to lead the Park Board and Alderman Saltee as mayor pro tem; Alderman Houchen moved to approve those appointments and Alderman Lough seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
The changes to seating were noted and the board proceeded to the remainder of the agenda. The certification and swearing-in complete the board’s administrative transition following the April election.
