Monmouth Beach Borough Council approved a series of routine items and moved forward on two ordinances during a regularly scheduled meeting.
The council adopted the consent agenda by motion, which included an appointment and a window/contract award to Flock Safety for solar video cameras to be installed at the Cultural Center, Griffin Park and the Bathing Pavilion. Council then approved bills totaling $550,645.73 for payment.
The body moved to pass an ordinance on title only and instructed the clerk to advertise a public hearing for March 10 at 9 a.m.; a similar ordinance was likewise advertised for a special meeting. The council opened a public hearing on a separate ordinance addressing borough employee salary increases, took no public testimony, closed the hearing and moved to adopt the ordinance after the second reading.
The meeting record shows motions were made and seconded and carried by voice vote for the consent agenda, the bills and the ordinances. Specific vote tallies or roll-call names were not recorded in the transcript. The clerk was directed to advertise the scheduled hearings as required.
