Public comment urges Dallas County to fix jail–court data link after reporting delayed releases

She told the committee that the Dallas Morning News reported on the issue in a front-page article on Feb. 22 and asked the committee to require reliable technical and procedural improvements.
Chair and staff acknowledged the concern and said committee members would ask relevant offices to investigate and report back on corrective steps. The committee did not adopt an immediate policy at the meeting, but members said they would follow up with the sheriff's office, the clerk's office, and the district attorney's office to determine root causes and timeline for fixes.
What happens next: staff will coordinate with jail, court clerk and DA offices to produce a report on the Odyssey–AIS interface, corrective steps taken so far, and an estimated schedule for completing fixes.
