Central York board approves York County School of Technology 2026–27 budget despite protest over reduced transportation funding

The Central York School District Board of School Directors voted to adopt the York County School of Technology 2026–27 operating budget at its March 23 meeting following a roll-call vote.

Director Milston said she wanted it noted that she was "very, upset about the decrease to the transportation funding, and I find that to be unacceptable. However, I'm going to vote yes in the interest of getting this budget passed, so that they can operate and go forward." The motion carried after roll call.

Director McMillan told the board the tally among member districts before the meeting was 8–2 in favor of the budget and identified which districts had already voted; she said the remaining member districts were slated to vote that night.
