• Bill No. 374: The board completed first and second readings and passed final passage of Bill No. 374, amending municipal water-account deposit/payment liability rules to include commercial properties; final vote Molzahn-yes; Sallee-yes; Houchen-yes; Kendrick-absent. Bill No. 374 becomes Ordinance No. 374.
• Audit: The 2023–2024 fiscal-year audit from D.S.W.A. accountant B.G. Wolfe was approved (motion by Alderman Houchen; second by Alderman Molzahn). Vote: Molzahn-yes; Houchen-yes; Sallee-yes; Kendrick-absent.
• Contracts and equipment: The mayor was authorized to contract with FIDR Engineering for a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan tied to the Safe Streets 4 All grant (motion by Alderman Tony Sallee; second by Alderman Mark Houchen; roll call passed). The board accepted a bid of $17,205.93 from Alliance for a river pump (motion by Alderman Houchen; second by Alderman Molzahn). The board also authorized placing a live bid on Purple Wave for a used Durapatcher for the Street Department with a maximum bid of $13,000; Alderman Tony Sallee will supervise the live bid on Jan. 21, 2025.
All recorded votes at the meeting were 3–0 in favor with one member absent (Alderman Scott Kendrick). The board adjourned at 8:52 p.m.
