The Ashland Board of Aldermen approved Resolution 2024‑67 selecting McClure Engineering as the city's top candidate to negotiate a water‑system hydrology master plan and authorized staff to enter contract negotiations.
City staff said five firms submitted qualifications, interviews were held and McClure Engineering was their top candidate. Jeff Eller, water department supervisor, told the board the master plan "is gonna give the city the data, for what they will need to do over the next 20 years, possibly," and that the plan will identify infrastructure needs and prioritize work.
With authorization to begin negotiations, staff may finalize scope and terms with McClure Engineering and return to the board as required for contract approval. A motion to approve the resolution was seconded and carried during the meeting.
