At its Feb. 11 meeting, the Fair Haven Borough Council adopted an ordinance to create the position of deputy municipal tax collector and approved amendments to local fee schedules.
Ordinance 2026-01 (creating the position of deputy municipal tax collector) was opened for public comment, saw no spoken public opposition, and passed on a recorded roll-call vote.
The council also considered amendments labeled 20 26-02 (fee rate schedules for special-duty police assignments) and 20 26-03 (amendments to the municipal fee schedule). Council members discussed monitoring effects on residents and the possibility of returning to revisit fees after observing implementation; the measures passed following motions, seconding and roll-call votes.
The council approved the consent agenda (items 20 26-052 through 20 26-059) and accepted department reports for December 2025 and January 2026.
Where motions were recorded, the clerk conducted roll-call votes and recorded affirmative votes. The meeting record lists the ordinance and fee changes as adopted; the borough did not report any separated items or public opposition during those votes.
Next steps: adopted ordinances and fee changes will be reflected in borough code and administrative procedures; staff will monitor implementation and bring potential adjustments back to the council if needed.
