Staff reported projected treatment dates of May 1, June 1, July 1, Aug. 1 and Sept. 1 and said treatments had started on May 1 and been conducted three times as of the agency briefing. Planning staff noted the pond lies within an aquifer protection area and recommended members refer to the CTDEP permit application included in the meeting packet for further technical detail.
Agency members did not take formal action; staff emphasized that multiyear permits are issued at CTDEP discretion and that the town's responsibility in this instance is notification rather than approval or oversight of the pesticide program.
