Planning staff updated the Enfield Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Agency that an inspection at 174 Shaker Road found storage containers removed but mulch piles still on site; staff recommended giving the owner until the next meeting to remove remaining material and the agency voted to continue the enforcement matter to July 21.
On a separate enforcement matter, staff described a complaint against 8 Pilgrim Circle (Map 53, Lot 502) alleging dumped wood pallets, brush, grass and debris within regulated wetland areas. Staff said a mailed notice had been received but the property owner did not appear. The agency voted to convert the notice of violation to a cease-and-desist and directed staff to notify the owner of the requirement to appear at the next meeting.
Staff cited the Enfield Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Regulations (sections 6.1, 6.2 and 6.3) as the basis for the enforcement action. No fines or additional penalties were announced during the meeting; the agency set the next substantive review of these matters for its July 21 meeting.
