The council voted to adopt Ordinance 1709-25, amending chapter 65 (payroll schedule), after opening and closing a public hearing with no public comments. "May I have a motion to adopt ordinance number 1709-25 on 2nd reading?" the presiding official asked before the roll-call vote recorded four yeses and the measure passed 4-0.
Clerk Simone DeSimone read the ordinance title for the record: "It's an ordinance amending chapter 65 payroll schedule." The ordinance was adopted on second reading and will be reflected in the borough code as amended.
The council also approved introduction of Ordinance 1710-25 on first reading. Clerk DeSimone read the title and the text related to amendments to "part 1 administrative legislation chapter 21 court" to provide for the issuance of administrative search warrants. The council voted to introduce the ordinance on first reading and scheduled a public hearing for Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the council chambers at Borough Hall.
