Clinton County Commissioner Zach Rudat told the Eagle Township Board on June 19 that Clinton County has received and distributed Opioid Settlement Funds to various groups, has directed a consultant to produce a jail remodel plan for the county board's consideration, and that the facilities director is developing a 20-year fairgrounds master plan. Rudat said the county contracted OHM Advisors for planning and zoning services and that a Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) community listening session is scheduled for June 26 in Olive Township.
Trustee Rob Currie reported that the Eagle Township Planning Commission is bundling language updates to multiple sections of the Interim Zoning Ordinance (IZO) for review by McKenna. Currie and Planning Commission Chairperson Rich will meet with McKenna to discuss administrative interpretation of the IZO. Currie also said an owner chose to remain in a non-conforming status rather than seek rezoning after a special rezoning meeting on May 27; the owner will work with enforcement agent Ken Skunda to document current operations.
