Eagle Township electors approve salary increases for trustees, clerk, treasurer and supervisor

Eagle Township electors on Saturday adopted four resolutions that set annual pay for township elected officials, the board recorded in its March 29, 2025 annual meeting minutes.
Supervisor Troy Stroud called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. at Eagle Township Hall. After the board approved the agenda on a motion by Treasurer Chelsea Hoppes supported by Supervisor Stroud, the meeting moved to consideration of salary resolutions.
Electors supported Trustee Salary Resolution 02-20-2025-04, establishing trustee pay at $2,616 annually, effective April 1, 2025. Electors then supported Treasurer Salary Resolution 02-20-2025-03, setting the treasurer salary at $21,432 annually, effective April 1, 2025, followed by Clerk Salary Resolution 02-20-2025-02, setting the clerk salary at $27,252 annually, effective April 1, 2025. Finally, Electors supported Supervisor Salary Resolution 02-20-2025-05, establishing the supervisor salary at $19,776 annually, effective April 1, 2025. Each resolution is recorded as "supported by the electors" and "adopted" in the minutes.
Earlier in the meeting, Clerk Laurie Briggs-Dudley moved to approve the March 30, 2024 annual meeting minutes; Treasurer Chelsea Hoppes supported the motion and the minutes were approved. During the public comment period, residents Linn Romanik, Dennis Strahle, Janine Dyer and Cori Feldpausch voiced thanks to board members.
The board adjourned at 10:29 a.m. on a motion by Trustee Rob Currie supported by Supervisor Troy Stroud.
