Eagle Township to coordinate PFAS cleanup at Transfast Trucking site; EGLE grant round underway

Supervisor Troy Stroud told the board he is coordinating a special meeting with Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE); Randy Redmer of Michigan Waste & Environmental Services; Clinton County Drain Commissioner Phil Hanses; and other interested parties to discuss PFAS groundwater contamination at the Transfast Trucking site on Wright Road.
Stroud said the meeting will bring together state and county officials and private contractors to review contamination, technical options and funding opportunities. The minutes state that EGLE has started its next round of PFAS cleanup grants; the board will convene stakeholders to consider cleanup steps and potential grant funding.
