Eagle Township approves BEAD grant support letters, mower and security camera purchases

At its March 29 meeting, the Eagle Township Board approved several administrative and equipment items, including letters of support for BEAD grant applications, limited equipment purchases and routine bills.
Supervisor Troy Stroud moved and Trustee Rob Currie supported allowing the supervisor to sign BEAD letters of support for Frontier Communications and Strategic Management; the motion carried. The board also approved paying presented bills and regular monthly bills on a motion by Clerk Laurie Briggs-Dudley supported by Supervisor Stroud.
Trustee Rob Currie moved, supported by Clerk Briggs-Dudley, to authorize up to $1,200 to purchase a resin, maintenance-free locking shed and lawnmower to store at the township hall with no battery charging at the hall; that motion carried. Separately, Clerk Briggs-Dudley moved, supported by Supervisor Stroud, to approve up to $700 for an additional security camera; that motion also carried.
The board announced a PFAS informational meeting for April 8, 2025, from 5-6 p.m. (not a board meeting; a quorum may be present) and noted the ARPA reporting window opens April 1, with Supervisor Stroud and Treasurer Chelsea Hoppes coordinating the report and grant closeout. The meeting adjourned at 12:27 p.m.
